Washing the panels is part of the included maintenance for shareholders.

Buying in to Grafton Community Solar

When you purchase “shares,” you are buying actual panels in the solar field. In addition to the panels, your share cost covers the following:

  • Ground mount system racks, hardware, and inverter equipment
  • All installation labor, site preparation and specialist contracting
  • Insurance for physical damage and loss of revenue
  • Repair and maintenance of the system
  • Connection to the Green Mountain Power grid
  • Engineering, permitting and licensing with all government entities
  • 25 year guaranteed lifespan of the project

Our cost is $4.00 / watt

The cost per watt gives an idea of how Grafton Community Solar compares to typical home installations. The least expensive rooftop installation currently costs around $3.00/watt, while ground mounted systems start at $4.00/watt.

Considering all the factors, we believe  that Community Solar at $4.00/watt delivers more revenue to its owners per dollar spent than most home systems, and without future burden of repair.
